INVITATIONS SIDE DUBNICA 2010

Dear friends,
The FAI General Aviation Commission has approved that the 17th FAI World Rally Flying Championship will be organised by the Slovak National Aeroclub in cooperation with the Aeroclub Dubnica at the Slavnica airfield from August 9th until August 15th, 2010. The airfield is much closed to the town of Dubnica, in the west part of Slovakia, 130km northeast from Bratislava, the capitol of the Slovak Republic. There is a grass, 1100m long runway. All the facilities for the championships are located on the airfield. Championships’ hotel Flora is a three star hotel with single and double rooms and all usual facilities. All competitors will be accommodated in this one hotel only. The hotel is located about 18 km (twenty minutes by bus) from competition site in the centre of town Trenčianske Teplice – famous healing spa. The town of Dubnica is familiar to all air sports supporters as the annual republic championships in Rally and Precision flying are regularly held here. In 1994 Dubnica was a host of the 8th European Gliding Championships in Club Class, in 2000 was a host of the 4th European Rally Flying Championships and in 2005 was a host of the 12th FAI European Precision Flying Championship and the 6th FAI European Rally Flying Championship.
On our recent FAI GAC Meeting in Palma de Mallorca it was decided to let each country send 10 crews for the Championship from all world to give new pilots a chance to participate. The number of participants in Championship is limited to 80 crews. In case the limit is reached, we may have to reduce the number to five crews.
The organizer will accept 10 International Judges for lower rates (half price). First paid – first in.

The officials for the Championship are as follows:

President of the Jury:Mr. Jiri DODALCzech Republic
Jury Member:Mr. Vagn JENSENDenmark
Jury Member:Mr. Krzysztof LENARTOWICZPoland
International Chief Judge:Mr. Andrzej OSOWSKIPoland
Jury and International Chief Judge Reserve:Mr. Heinrich LINKOGELGermany

We wish all that will come to Slovakia in August 2010 to have unforgettable sports experiences. We do hope the 17th FAI World Rally Flying Championship 2010 will contribute to a further development of this air sport.

We look forward to seeing you in Slovakia.

Kindest regards

Slovak National Aeroclub
Ján Chudý
